Social Butterflies: Where Fun Meets Growth
Social Butterflies is a social-emotional group created to empower neurodiverse children who do not engage in severe distressed behaviour(s) ages 6-12 to spread their wings and thrive in a supportive, inclusive, and fun environment.
Our unique program seamlessly integrates Minecraft for gaming enthusiasts and drama and art activities for those who may not share the same gaming passion, all while nurturing vital social-emotional skills.
Our Approach
At Social Butterflies, we believe learning should be enjoyable. We create a nurturing environment where children have fun while developing crucial social skills!
Our approach includes:
- Small group learning: Goals are set for each student based on their strengths, interests, and needs. All groups are a maximum 4:1 child to adult ratio.
- Natural Environment Teaching (NET): We teach social skills in everyday situations, making it relevant to their lives.
- Positive reinforcement strategies for each child to make learning rewarding and enjoyable. Video modelling to allow children to observe social behaviors from relatable video scenarios.
